The boxing nights, with the participation of boxers who set a landmark in our boxing history such as Legrá, Pedro Carrasco o Urtáin, were famous from the beginning.
The World Super Lightweight Boxing Championship fight between Carrasco y Ramos, for example, was held on 6 November, 1971.
In 1974, the Palacio de Deportes was the venue for the European Grecorromana Wrestling Championships. In 1964, an exhibition of Canary Island wrestling was held, and the Grand Night of American freestyle.
