Guide of Madrid
Leisure and nightlife
Madrid has always something to offer when it comes to fulfilling your leisure needs.
Anything from enjoying a musical in our own Broadway style Gran Vía street to sipping a cocktail at the trendiest terrace bar or visiting the latest seasonal art exhibition can happen in Madrid. Madrid has a great selection of musical, theatre and cinema events happening all year round but also an impressive amount of bars, cafés and restaurants in almost every corner.
Cultural tourism has increased over the years with the improvement of our transport infrastructure, which communicates the city centre with the airport in only 15 minutes by subway for example.
FAMILY LEISURE
Family leisure is a key strength in our region. From educational but fun activities in Micropolix ( a city made for children and run by them) to a thrilling day of snow in indoor complex and shopping centre Xanadú, your family will surely be entertained!
A combination of learning and fun can also be found in many museums, cultural spaces or parks (Retiro, El Capricho) with activities specially catered for children. Madrid also has a zoo, a waterpark, an aquarium, two amusement parks and a planetarium.
